Interfaith & Intergroup Relationships

JCRC of Southern New Jersey's work is grounded in cultivating relationships and seeking partnerships with different faith and ethnic communities throughout Southern New Jersey. Through partnerships, events, community programs and discussions, our JCRC works with partners from all faith backgrounds on issues of shared concern, including bigotry, anti-Semitism, systemic racism, homophobia, Islamophobia and religious extremism.

JCRC of SNJ manages the local Jewish Coalition for Literacy program in South Jersey - BookMates, operates the Civic Association Coalition, facilitates the continuation of the Jewish Catholic Muslim Dialogue, develops Jewish relations with all faith, ethnic and racial groups, and serves on various Ministerium councils.

The JCRC, in partnership with Discovery Ministries Inc., have created the South Jersey Interfaith Forum. This program, which meets multiple times per year, brings together people and leaders of different faiths, communities, and backgrounds to discuss critical issues that affect us all. These conversations educate and inspire, while also giving us concrete tools to use to help one another and to learn to trust each other. Together, we create and strengthen relationships.
